Our Story

Since I was a little girl I have been enamored with pretty paper, beautiful notecards, the way a good pen feels in your hand, and a blank page ready for color. I began collecting paper ephemera from an early age and noticed my handwriting would change when I had my favorite pen in my hand or when I was writing on a luxury paper. The quality and the beauty of a product encouraged me to slow down and enjoy the process of writing a thoughtful note or just planning out my day.

Once I became a wife, mother and professional designer it took some high-level planning and a lot of notebooks, notepads, pens and lists to keep me organized and creative. I would often make my own planner pages, create my own project notebooks and compile my favorite accessories into one notebook to achieve the organization I needed. In a world of text messages and truncated communication, I hold tight to the joy of real human connection that can span miles with a simple handwritten note. While working in the corporate world as a graphic designer, I spent my free time designing my own personal stationery and invitations. After much encouragement and many requests from friends, I began designing wedding stationery, baby announcements and personalized notecards for friends.

Out of this passion for paper, planning, and a joy of connection, So Darling was born. It is a dream to be able to create and design products that I am proud to use and put my name on, but more importantly to encourage others to take time to organizer their lives and intentionally connect with those around them in a real and tangible way.
